Brand safety is top of mind for advertisers and IAB Canada is committed to supporting thorough training on the topic through its special workshop series entitled Brand Safety for Digital Media Buyers.
The workshop will outline the key issues affecting the supply chain and review best practices for brand safe media execution. We will cover some of the technical requirements that agencies and marketers should be looking for from their ad tech vendors as standard best practice to create a safe buying environment and share tactical process practices that can be implemented right away to ensure brand safety is being addressed across the entire organization.
Finally, the workshop will provide hands-on training on the technical implementation of brand safety features in the field. We will cover the most popular platforms to provide participants with confidence in execution immediately following the session.

1pm - 2:30pm: Brand Safety Principles
We will start by discussing digital media brand safety principles, the current digital marketing landscape and reviewing how brand safety can be incorporated into all digital media campaigns.
2:30pm - 2:45pm: BREAK
2:45 - 5:00pm: Brand Safety Hands-On
comScore, eyeReturn, Facebook and Google will lead attendees through a series of hand-on exercises to demonstrate what they can do immediately to improve brand safety across their platforms.
