As with all IAB Canada 360° programs, this intensive Social Marketing course is taught by several industry experts that specialize in the advanced use of Social Media platforms. This program takes approximately 2 months to complete. Each session will provide you with hands-on, practical training on all the fundamental Social Media “tools of the trade” in a small interactive setting. The program will explore both the paid and owned elements of Social Media Marketing.

How the Program Works:
The program will kick off with an IAB Canada led session on Social Media Marketing that will provide an overview of the social marketing ecosystem, explore strategy and content development, social analytics, social mobile, campaign measurement and how to effectively combine both paid and owned social media.
Next you will attend a series of sessions taught by industry experts on the essential social media marketing platforms including Sysomos, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. At each session you will receive hands-on training that will cover how to use the platform, best practices, insider tips, troubleshooting and more.
Once you have completed all of the sessions you will be given a final assignment, to be completed online, that will test what you have learned throughout the program. The assignment will be administered and graded by IAB Canada. Upon successfully completion of the final assignment you will be awarded a Social Marketing 360° certificate!

One week after the final platform session you will receive an email with a link to the final exam.
The final will exam will include everything they have learned throughout the Fall and will be composed of a series of multiple choice and open ended questions (40% of final grade) and a real-life client brief that you will be asked to develop a social strategy for (60% of final grade).
All those who achieve a grade of 70%+ will receive their Social Marketing 360 Certificate.
Why should I obtain my certificate?
With the IAB Canada Social Media 360 Certificate, you will gain a deeper knowledge of the Social Marketing ecosystem while also building your client credibility and enhancing your career credentials.
The Social Media 360 Certificate tells clients and potential employers that you not only know the most important concepts, guidelines, and best practices in social media but that you also have hands on experience with the essential tools of trade.
How is the IAB Canada certificate different from others in the market?
The IAB Canada certificate programs provide a non-bias, current view of the digital marketing ecosystem. The partners selected to participate in the program were chosen by members of the IAB Canada committees and the course material was developed by IAB Canada members who come from all sides of the Canadian digital marketing industry.

Who will benefit from the Program?
The Social Media Marketing 360 certificate program is intended for anyone with who is currently working in a content marketing or social media marketing position with 0-2 years of experience and for digital experts looking to expand professional knowledge.
What do I need to bring to the class?
All students are required to have a wi-fi enable laptop for all sessions. If you want to participate in the program but don’t have a laptop, and won’t be able to borrow one, please contact us.
Can I obtain the certificate without attending the in-person sessions?
No, in order to obtain the certificate you must attended the associated sessions.
How was the final assignment/exam developed and how will it be evaluated?
The certificate exam was developed with input from the Social Marketing 360 Certificate program partners and the IAB Canada Social Media Committee. It will be administered by IAB Canada and will be evaluated by our Director of Education along with members of our Social Media Committee.
If an attendee cancels his or her registration more than 14 days before the date of the first session, the amount paid for the cancelled registration will be refunded in full. Registrations cancelled within 14 days of the first session date will NOT be refunded.
NOTE: Only 2 cancellations or registrant substitutions are allowed per company, per course. A charge of $100 will apply to each additional cancellation or registrant substitution.
In the event that IAB Canada needs to cancel any seminar(s), a full refund or an opportunity to attend an equivalent future seminar(s), at the option of the attendee, will be provided by IAB Canada. However, IAB Canada shall not be responsible for, or offer any monetary compensation for, any expenses incurred by the registrant or attendee (including, but not limited to, non-refundable airline tickets, hotel fees or change fees) due to such a cancellation.
Your email confirmation represents receipt of payment and confirmation for your seat(s) for the program. You are not confirmed until payment in full is received by IAB Canada, and a confirmation email is sent to you.
All printed materials provided by IAB Canada are meant for the exclusive use of the individual attendee, and no portion of any of the printed materials provided by IAB Canada may be scanned, copied, reproduced or in any other way distributed or made available for use by anyone but the original individual registrant or attendee at the session(s).
