IAB Canada has been established to encourage the use of the Internet as a viable marketing and advertising medium and to provide industry-accepted guidelines and standards for its use.

It is the first organization in Canada exclusively devoted to maximizing the use and effectiveness of advertising on the Internet. IAB Canada unifies key members of the online advertising and media communities to foster the overall growth of the industry.

IAB Canada is dedicated to establishing and communicating interactive advertising best practices that optimize advertising investment, leading to increased stakeholder value.

    It is IAB Canada's mission to:
  • Increase the share of advertising and marketing dollars that Interactive media captures in the marketplace.
  • Organize the industry to set standards and guidelines that make Interactive advertising an easier medium for agencies and marketers to buy and capture value.
  • Prove and promote the effectiveness of Interactive advertising to advertisers, agencies, marketers and the press.
  • Be the primary advocate for the Interactive marketing and advertising industry.
  • Expand the breadth and depth of IAB membership while increasing direct value to members.

IAB Canada provides a forum for evaluating and shaping the direction of the Internet in Canada, and serves as a practical resource for web publishers, advertisers and agencies, and companies with a commercial interest in the medium. We welcome your participation in IAB Canada and encourage you to get involved at the council level.
