IAB Canada Publisher Community Rallies Together to Support Canadian Charitable Efforts

IAB Canada is excited to share a new community initiative designed to help brands support critical NGO efforts in a time of crisis by donating their unused digital ad inventory over the coming weeks. Participating IAB Canada publisher members have shown exceptional generosity by offering to match donations with inventory thereby maximizing impact and truly giving the gift of presence.

Important organizations like Doctors without Borders, Sick Kids Hospital, Kid’s Help Phone and so many more, are working the front lines of this global crisis. At a time when brands with existing media buys are working hard to pivot their communication strategies, this option provides them and Canadian publishers with a great opportunity to support these organizations when they need it most.

The program launches this week with a great list of IAB Canada members and we expect this list to grow in the coming days.

*Participating publishers may have varying terms based on available inventory

How it works:

  1. Any existing media buys, including those that were paused in March 2020, are eligible for re-direction towards full or partial (whatever balance remaining on the insertion order) charitable support. This program will be in effective until May 30, 2020.
  2. Advertiser/Agency provides participating publisher(s) with creative assets for legitimate charity to replace any brand assets.
  3. Participating publishers will match display inventory value across publisher properties to help boost exposure to charitable organization.
  4. Everyone wins.

We are all in this together.
