Open position in True Media Toronto, ON office location; Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

The Media Strategy Associate, Search manages campaigns within the Google Ads and Microsoft Ads ecosystem for an assigned portfolio of True Media search clients. The Media Strategy Associate, Search must have an understanding of paid search campaign management practices and the ability to implement those practices to deliver exceptional results on behalf of True Media search clients. Under the direction of the Activation Strategy Director, Performance Media, is responsible for adhering to processes, workflow and established best practices that enable the Search department to continually perform in an efficient and organized manner. Responsible for consistently making optimizations within the scope of the work, but also recommending additional optimizations that may be out of scope but would benefit the client and their goals.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities. (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Provide hands-on execution of campaign set-up, optimization and analysis of paid search, Shopping, YouTube, Google Display Network and Gmail Sponsored Promotion campaigns for a portfolio of True Media clients.
  • Assist the Activation Strategist, Search in the creation of proposals and estimates for paid search, Shopping, YouTube, Google Display Network and Gmail Sponsored Promotion campaigns.
  • Communicate with Activation Strategy Director, Performance Media, search engine representatives (i.e. Google & Bing) and consultants to ensure that search campaigns meet performance goals.
  • Maintain strong communication of campaign performance, challenges and status updates to Activation Strategy Director, Performance Media, AMD Activation Strategy and core internal team.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and peers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Pacing and Optimization log for an assigned portfolio of clients.
  • Issue reports, as needed, on the effectiveness of paid search, Shopping, YouTube, Google Display Network and Gmail Sponsored Promotion campaigns.
  • Reconcile assigned invoices for Google Ads and Bing campaigns.

Qualifications

  • One – two years of professional work experience in Search Engine Marketing/Digital Marketing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with and knowledgeable of industry tools and systems for search advertising. Acquire an understanding of competitive analysis tools such as SEMRush, SpyFu and AdGooroo.
  • Have understanding of paid search campaign management and optimization best practices.
  • Maintain ability to implement various optimization techniques for search campaigns.
  • Must be able to analyze metrics from search campaigns and provide insightful and constructive observations/recommendations to AMD Activation Strategy, Client Strategist or others as requested.

Education

  • College Certificate with concentration in advertising, marketing or communications preferred
