We are looking to add someone to our team that can keep up with our fast pace, turn challenges into inspiration, and give our clients a stellar, one-of-a-kind experience. This persona needs to be curious and eager to learn new things. 

The role we are filling would be responsible for the following:

• Running privacy engagements for small to medium-sized businesses (including startups) end-to-end
• Conducting privacy risk assessments, privacy impact assessments and check-ups against privacy legislations including PIPEDA, GDPR, CCPA, CASL etc. 
• Developing privacy program roadmaps for implementation
• Strategizing with businesses to develop a bespoke privacy program that meets business’ needs
• Liaising with business stakeholders to understand their respective business goals and unifying those into a single privacy program 
• Operationalizing privacy including developing and implementing data maps, vendor due diligence, privacy impact assessments, risks registers, data processing agreement reviews, developing privacy policies and procedures, and privacy training
• Implementing privacy by design into product development
• Project managing privacy engagements, including status updates
• Acting in a capacity of a virtual Privacy Officer
• Staying on top of the evolving privacy landscape and becoming familiar with changes to legislation, regulations, and consumer expectations in order to provide our clients with current and relevant advice
• Contributing to the Bamboo blog

You must have the following skills or experience:

• At least 3 years of operationalizing privacy within a business
• Drafting privacy policies and procedures  
• Strong knowledge of PIPEDA, GDPR, CCPA, CASL
• Conducting a gap analysis with recommendations for remediation
• Strong research skills
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• An eye for design and a flare for creativity
• Strong project management skills
• Be able to work independently and be resourceful while also being a team player

• Have an IAPP certification or any other privacy certification
• If you have privacy experience in a regulated industry such as health or finance
• If you have cybersecurity, coding, and/or development experience
• If you are a strong public speaker and writer
• if you have killer business development skills
• If you can make us laugh during the interview
