Job Description: Media Coordinator
The Media Coordinator at cairns oneil strategic media inc. is an entry level position. Your role is to assist your manager and other colleagues in a variety of tasks to support the strategic planning and execution of media.
The primary responsibilities of your role are outlined below:
- Assisting the team in Planning, Execution and Campaign Management
- Learning and gaining understanding of various media channels, tactics and strategies.
- Track and manage executional details; costs, audiences, KPI’s, trafficking, etc
- Create Spec Sheets (DMR) for Clients and Creative Agencies
- Assist with Campaign trafficking working with our internal ad operations team
- Develop a proficiency in Media Ocean to ensure smooth financial billing, discrepancy clearing and reporting
- Ensure the highest level of accuracy by double-checking work including but not limited to; excel formulas, number transcription, report pulls, etc.
- Ensuring that campaign details are accurately input/ordered (rates, budgets, start/end dates, etc) per plan/booking details
- Communication
- Constant excellence in communication. Communication should be articulate and professional in nature.
- Efforts should be made to ask questions during supplier meetings and build presentation skills in preparation for advancement and potential client presentations.
- Ensure appropriate team members are kept informed of all pertinent information throughout all processes.
- Digital Technical Proficiency
- Start to understand Google platforms such as Campaign Manager, etc. Meta and other social channels. Adverity, or other data visualization tools. Includes, keeping certifications up to date
- Build a familiarity with pixels (and other forms of ad tracking), their implementation and testing to ensure they are working correctly.
- Learning and Curiosity
- Embrace all opportunities to learn either from supplier presentations or internal education forums
- Review common industry terms via the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) or CMDC Digest available on our shared drive or via the internet
- Attend industry updates
- Meet with sales/industry representatives to ensure we are well informed on all developments in the industry
Qualification requirements for the role:
- Post secondary education in marketing, media, advertising or an equivalent program
- Basic understanding of Advertising and Marketing, including media channels
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong and meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- A natural sense of curiosity and drive to learn
