Sonia Carreno is the President of the Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada – the only trade association dedicated to the responsible growth of the digital advertising industry in Canada. With a career spanning almost 25 years, Sonia is a true digital veteran who has deep industry experience covering virtually every angle of the digital marketing sector.
From pioneering the digital media planning landscape in the early days at Modem Media (one of the first international consultancies to enter the digital marketing space) to founding DAC Group Digital (a worldwide leading agency that found its roots in search and content services), Sonia leverages her global citizenship to maintain a sharp leading edge pushing the envelope of digital capabilities to drive results. Since 1997, Sonia’s work at top international agencies has focused on building award-winning strategy for global Fortune 500 brands such as Coca-Cola, Gillette, Heineken and General Motors just to name a few.
Sr. Director, Councils and Committees
Laura has spent most of her career entrenched in digital as an enterprising partner to publishers, agencies and brands. Having spent eight years in progressive roles at top media research companies including comScore and Ipsos, she brings her creative-curious nature to the team. All in support of growing the digital ecosystem.
Head of Policy
Heading up the policy pillar at IAB Canada, Jill helps members navigate the complexities surrounding issues such as privacy, elections, cannabis advertising, iGaming, marketing to kids and any other legislative development impacting the digital advertising industry.
Working with all levels of government, Jill works on behalf of the digital advertising industry, on a multitude of issues, ensuring that the voice of our members are considered in the development of new legislation as well as the development of technical solutions to aid in compliance. She also works on the development of standards and certification programs to help support a more sustainable ecosystem.
Head of Marketing & Communications
Jason leads marketing & communications at IAB Canada. A marketer at his core, he brings years of deep and diverse marketing and business experience across industries and company maturities, helping businesses solve complex problems, accelerate marketing transformations, build and relaunch brands, and drive growth.
His approach is to always putting members at the core of everything we do. And, as people increasingly unite around shared human experiences, new values and a strong sense of purpose, he helps teams create and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies that deliver game-changing brand experiences and authentic narratives that win hearts and minds – all while driving engagement to create long-term value.
Leanne is a graphic designer at IAB Canada. She specializes in digital graphics for events and webinars, social media, email marketing, brand identity design and digital informational guides and infographics. Leanne works closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications to develop conceptual ideas and produce full marketing campaigns.
She is skillful with Adobe Programs; Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and After Effects and Microsoft Office, with a basic knowledge of HTML.

Having spent over a decade in public administration roles with McGill University and the Government of Canada, Talina brings her savvy know-how, inquisitiveness, and customized approach to our team and members at large. Talina ensures that you get what you need when you need it.
Patricia is a communications and events manager professional with over a decade of experience leading communications, social media strategies, and planning events in the travel and e-commerce industries including eBay Classifieds Group, and with not-for-profits organizations where she’s worked on projects funded by the European Union. Patricia focuses on creating unique experiences through meaningful and impactful events, whether it’s in-person or virtual.
