What You’ll Do
As the Senior Director, Programmatic Sales for Montreal – Atlantic Canada, you’ll be responsible for leading the programmatic sales strategy, with a focus on both the Canadian market and expanding into the U.S. You’ll use your deep expertise in programmatic advertising to drive revenue growth, manage key client relationships, and uncover new opportunities for both existing and potential clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth & Sales Leadership:
- Ensure we meet and exceed revenue targets across Montreal – Atlantic Canada.
- Develop and execute sales strategies that drive growth within the Canadian programmatic market.
- Lead and mentor a Sales Executive/Sr Sales Executive as the business expands in 2025, guiding them to meet and exceed their sales goals.
Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders, from executives to junior planners.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure tailored solutions that align with client KPIs.
- Prioritize business opportunities with independent agencies, D2C, eCommerce, retail, client direct, and holding companies.
Strategic Client Engagement:
- Proactively pitch innovative programmatic opportunities that deliver measurable results.
- Act as a trusted advisor and omnichannel expert, keeping clients updated on trends, challenges, and best practices in the programmatic advertising space.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure our solutions meet the unique needs of each client.
Internal Collaboration & Solution-Finding:
- Work closely with trading divisions, buying teams, and planning teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns.
- Identify potential risks and proactively address client concerns with effective solutions.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams to ensure cohesive execution of business strategies.
Client Entertainment & Relationship Building:
- Play an active role in client entertainment to nurture long-term relationships.
- Regularly review campaign performance, providing valuable insights and strategic recommendations to clients.
Market Insights & Innovation:
- Stay ahead of evolving trends and emerging technologies in the programmatic ecosystem.
- Apply a curious and solution-oriented mindset to improve internal processes and deliver new, more effective ways of achieving client success.
Requirements
Sales Expertise:
- Proven ability to drive sales and close deals, with exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- In-depth understanding of the programmatic advertising landscape and the vendor-agency-advertiser dynamic.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and managing sales teams to deliver high performance.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams across product, operations, marketing, and other departments.
