Ad Tech and Blockchain –The Industry needs to Walk and Chew Gum

As one of IAB Canada’s 2018 State of the Nation themes, we discussed the inevitable role that Blockchain design will have on our sector. Blockchain has great potential to add a much-needed level of transparency to the supply chain. To this end, IAB Canada is kicking off its first Blockchain Committee meeting in the coming weeks.

The IAB Canada Blockchain Committee will be working with IAB Global resources to develop a standardized taxonomy, fundamental learning materials and regular updates on advancements in our landscape.

We will continue to monitor progress while continuing our important work on driving the adoption of important solutions that exist today to combat fraud and deliver the transparency that advertisers need to invest with confidence. We will be ready to transition when critical mass supports our industry.
