IAB on the California Consumer Privacy Act: The Tip of the Iceberg

Coming back from IAB’s Annual Leadership Summit this month, one of the key areas of discussion was the unanimous worry amongst industry leaders that the CCPA was only the beginning of a state by state approach to tackling data privacy.

With pending legislations coming from New York, New Jersey, Washington State and Massachusetts, the notion of a “patchwork” of regulations to navigate is daunting.

Last week, our IAB Washington office testified in front of the Senate on this matter.

Here are the transcripts from the hearings:

IAB EVP for Public Policy Dave Grimaldi testimony before the House of Representatives Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Commerce of the Energy and Commerce Committee (2/26)

IAB CEO Randall Rothenberg hearing before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation on policy principles for a Federal data privacy framework in the U.S. (2/27)
