TAG’s 2017 Report Indicates that Ad-Supported Online Piracy’s Days are Numbered

TAG, Trustworthy Accountability Group released a report this week (October 6’17) – the new EY Digital Piracy study – indicating that the industry’s efforts to combat ad-supported online piracy effectively reduced the advertising revenue of pirate sites by about half (48-61%) over the past year.

This study is already garnering positive attention across our industry and beyond, with mentions from MPAA, Politico, AdExchanger, MediaPost and others.

IAB Canada continues to support TAG’s global initiative to combat fraud and regularly co-hosts informational webinars and discussions around getting involved.

We look forward to continued progress across all three areas of online advertising related fraud.
