Ground-breaking Research from Dr. Sy Banerjee
The IAB Canada community continues to be drawn to the subject of location-based advertising. We’ve been tracking the growth of this exciting sector over the past few years and for good reason. With so much of the global population connected by mobile devices, location data has become an important data source for marketers, media buyers and as we have seen with Covid-19, the general public.
The IAB Canada Western Council is hosting a special edition of Community Uninterrupted webinar series which will feature ground–breaking research by Dr. Sy Banerjee, Author and Professor of Marketing at the School of Management, University of Michigan Flint and Affiliate Professor, Michigan Institute of Data Sciences, Ann Arbor.
Banerjee’s research explores how location-based marketing affects mobile driven revenues and identifies critical factors for retailers to consider in order to best monetize their location–based efforts. In particular, his research examines the contingency effects of the roles of device as well as privacy needs of the brand audience. His fascinating research also covers areas including mobile advertising, geo–advertising, advertising transparency and developing trustworthy data science applications for marketing and public policy.
This presentation will be followed by a panel discussion on location-based advertising by domestic experts curated by the Western Council, who will dig deeper into the effects of location-based advertising on mobile driven revenues.
We invite you to join us on January 21 from 1:30 – 3pm PST/ 4:30pm-6:00pm EST for this lively discussion as we explore the exciting opportunities within the location-based advertising ecosystem. To view the full agenda and register for the event, please click here.
