
The IAB Canada team made it out to Vancouver to host a special morning edition of our Data Night. The morning brought together marketers, publishers, and tech leaders for lively discussions on the evolving video landscape, the meaning of “premium,” and how data is shaping smarter cross-platform strategies.

Bridging TV and Social
The morning opened with an energizing session from Hannah Scott of MiQ Digital, exploring how audiences move fluidly across screens and how marketers can craft connected stories that meet them everywhere.

CTV Everywhere but Is It All Premium?
The conversation continued with the panel “CTV Everywhere, But Is It All Premium?” moderated by Kamyar Ezzati of Media.Monks, featuring Christina Summers (Netflix), Jayanthi Rajan (The 2045 Collective), Mike Reeves (Magnite), and Riley Armstrong (The Trade Desk). Panelists agreed that “premium” in CTV is about quality and audience value, not platforms. They called for stronger collaboration, better measurement, and creativity focused on viewers.

Fireside Chat: Data and Outcomes
In a fireside chat, Bell Media’s Kevin Curtis joined IAB Canada’s Paolo Lacuna to discuss how data and access are driving more accountable media, highlighting Bell’s work in expanding first-party data and outcome-based measurement.

Townhall: Accountability in Focus
The event wrapped with a townhall tackling industry-wide issues like ad fraud, MFA inventory, and the ongoing measurement gap. The community agreed that collaboration across advertisers, publishers, and platforms is essential. They called for shared standards and transparency to move the industry forward and to ensure success is measured by outcomes, not impressions.
IAB Canada’s Data Morning Vancouver showed a community energized by innovation and grounded in accountability. The conversations were candid, forward-looking, and full of optimism for what’s next.
