Transparency and the Evolving Digital Media Ecosystem

IAB Canada’s Report on Data

“The only constant in life, is change”, said Greek philosopher Heraclitus, and this is more evident than ever in the rapidly changing digital advertising landscape. With every major ad tech innovation or platform launch, we are presented with new challenges to be addressed at the industry level.

One of the most persistent is the defining of transparency. It’s a term used in so many conversations and identifying which aspects we should be most concerned about and where do we need the most improvement is on everyone’s mind. How do we even know transparency when we see it? What should a media investor to look out for in terms of red flags and what kinds of reporting can give an investor piece of mind?

As demand for more transparency has continued to grow, the industry has stepped up and responded with more sophisticated technology and higher touch client relationships. We are excited to be unpacking this topic, among others, at this year’s Business of Digital Report on Data event taking place November 24 & 25.

At our jampacked two-day event, we will also be sitting down with the IAB Tech Lab as they take us through how the industry is working together to rearchitect itself post-cookie all while continuing to support responsible, addressable media through technical standards and proprietary innovation.

With this year’s theme of Measurement and Accountability, we welcome a diverse range of speakers to the stage who will cover a multitude of timely topics that focus on important updates in audience measurement, progress towards cross-media standards including OTT/Advanced TV, new standards for content-level Brand Safety, and a Canadian market overview on agency Ad Spend right up to October of this year. We are also thrilled to have PHD share their latest edition of the unparalleled Canadian Media Usage Trends Report, mapping digital usage from a variety of sources to provide a single view of the marketplace in this year of disruption and high velocity change.

Our hope is that you will leave this event with fresh measurement-based take-aways on leading-edge planning and activation challenges, that you can put to work as soon as you return to your desk.
